Easter = Hot Cross Buns

It's almost Easter and we do the best Gluten Free Hot Cross Buns!!

Our Hot Cross Buns are good ol' fashioned style buns (6/pack). They are filled with fruit and spice just like they should be. I remember home-made ones from my childhood and that is what we have aimed for. They look like a Hot Cross Bun should and they taste like they should. When we are busy baking them (all year round as Fruit Buns they are so popular) we even get comments from passing non-GF folk that say they smell sensational!

Fantastic toasted and spread with your favourite spread - I like lashings of butter!

We also have an Easter Cookie (2/pack). It is shaped like an easter egg. Made with almonds and chocolate chips and then drizzled with white chocolate. A lovely wee treat.

According to the April 2009 edition of Healthy Food Guide... "Those following a gluten free diet don't have to miss out on an Easter treat with the advent of Elocin gluten free hot cross buns. These moist morsels taste every bit as good as their wheat flour equivalents." All we did was send the editor of the magazine a sample of our buns and kept our fingers crossed that they would be a hit - and they were!
