Caramelised Onion and Rosemary BreadThis bread is a lovely accompaniment for soups and stews. Using the White Rice Bread Mix, follow the cooking instructions on the packet, making the additions as follows: 1 large onion – slice the onion thinly, put in a pan with a little oil and cook very slowly over a low heat until the onion is brown and sticky. Add the rosemary and pepper to the dry bread mix. Combine the wet ingredients and add the onions, then add to the dry ingredients and mix it all together very thoroughly. Put the dough into a greased and floured loaf tin, allow it to rise for 30 minutes before baking as per the instructions on the packet. |
